About Jared

On the Friday after Thanksgiving in 2017, November 25th, my youngest son Jared Spero went to rest with the angels. This tragedy has left a tremendous hole in our family. My son left behind his only daughter, Kaylie Marie Spero, at the tender age of 10 years old.

Jared was one year into recovery when he left us. Jared will always be remembered as funny, goofy, caring, loving, kind, full of laughter, the jokester, the life of the party, and a huge supporter of everyone no matter what they were going through or needed. Jared was an amazing person and was always trying to help others. He had a great sense of humor, his laugh and his smile (and tongue!) is something we will always remember.

In the wake of this tragedy I am seeking support for not only his daughter Kaylie, but also for suicide prevention worldwide. I don’t want another person to feel the pain our family does on a daily basis. Kaylie will have a lifetime of struggles after losing her daddy. We have set up a college fund for her.

The Annual Ride for Jared is setup in his honor. All donations and money raised will be split between a fund for his daughter, the Idaho Crisis and Suicide Hotline, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story ♥

-Tina, Jared’s mom, forever 29.
